Police are continuing to investigate after a crash involving an elderly pedestrian and a bus in Southend.
Officers were called at 5.45pm last night (January 15) to a report of a crash concerning a bus and a pedestrian in Victoria Avenue.
A man, in his 60s, was conveyed to hospital with injuries not thought to be life threatening or life changing.
Police say there were no passengers on the bus at the time.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "Our enquiries continue. Anyone who saw what happened are asked to call 101 and quote incident 977 of 14 January."
The road was closed until shortly after 9pm, with a number of police cars on the scene.
An air ambulance was also reportedly heard landing in the area. Essex and Herts Air Ambulance have been contacted for comment.
