A SHOPPER is “facing nine penalty points” after driving without insurance.
Police officers patrolling in Tilbury spotted a car being driven which was uninsured.
The driver, who Essex Police said was just visiting a shop to collect an item, was also driving alone while only holding a provisional licence.

This driver only popped to the shop to pick up 1 item. Enquires show he is not insured & the only has a provisional driving license. The car will now be seized & the driver is facing 9 penalty points & a fine.

A Tweet from Essex Police’s Operational Support Group said: “This driver only popped to the shop to pick up one item.
“Inquiries show he is not insured and only has a provisional driving license. The car will now be seized and the driver is facing nine penalty points and a fine.”
