SOUTH Essex rail enthusiasts can look forward to at least four magical steam train experiences this year.
Steam Dreams Rail Co and The Railway Touring Company will be running trains from Southend in May, August and September.
The journeys given railway lovers the opportunity to be transported back in time with trips across the south of the country in historic trains.

Steam Dreams Rail Co and running a charter on Wednesday, May 31 calling at: Shoebury, Southend East and Barking on its way too Portsmouth.
The package will be steam hauled on the outward journey and from Portsmouth to west London on return and diesel hauled from west London to Shoebury on return.
The Railway Touring Company Limited is running its first charter of the year on Wednesday, August 23.
The train will start at Shoebury, before moving on to Southend Central, Barking, Slough and Reading to Bath and Bristol.
It will be steam hauled on the outward journey and from Portsmouth to west London on return while the train will be diesel hauled from west London to Shoeburyness on return.
The Railway Touring Company's second charter of them year is set for Wednesday, September 6 from Shoebury to Salisbury, calling at Southend Central, Barking, Slough and Reading.
Steam Dreams Rail Co will run again on Saturday, September 23 from Shoebury to York.
