THUGS in balaclavas have assaulted and robbed a victim at knifepoint in Pitsea.
Essex Police is investigating a robbery on Station Lane in Pitsea after a victim was appeached by three men wearing balaclavas.
At around 5pm the men threated the victim with a knife before stealing his bag.

They also then assaulted the victim by punching him in the face.
Essex Police are urging any witnesses to come forward.
A spokesman said: “We are currently investigating a robbery, which took place on Station Lane in Pitsea on Saturday, January 28.
“The victim was approached shortly before 5pm by a group of three men wearing balaclavas.
“The men threatened the victim with a knife before stealing his bag.
“They also assaulted the victim by punching him in the face.
“This remains under investigation with Basildon CID.
“Anyone who may have witnessed anything in the area around that time or have any further information is asked to contact us, quoting reference number 42/249226/22.”
