A motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a crash with a car in Hockley.
Southend Road was partly blocked at about 6.12am this morning following the crash.
Police and an ambulance attended the crash.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called at 6.12am to a crash involving a car and motorbike on the junction of Hockley Rise and Southend Road in Hockley.

"An ambulance was sent to the scene and transported the motorcyclist, an adult man, to Southend University Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
