A MAN is due to appear in court charged in connection with an investigation into the theft of more than £1 million worth of prescription medicines.
On June 23 last year pharmaceutical medicines worth between £1million and £1.5million were discovered in containers at a site in Purfleet Road, Aveley.
The medication, belonging to belonging to AAH Pharmaceuticals, was safely removed from the site and returned to the company.
Police subsequently arrested Ngumi Kikala, 53, of Beaconsfield Road, Canning Town, on January 25 this year.
He has now been charged with theft and appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court on January 27.
He’s next due to appear at Basildon Crown Court on February 24.
