HERE’S a sneak peak behind the scenes of rehearsals taking place for the production of Zog ahead of it’s showing at The Palace Theatre next week.
The show, which is an adaptation of the popular children’s book by Julia Donaldson, with illustrations by Axel Scheffler, is set to run from Friday February 17 to Sunday February 19.
It promises to be a fun filled show with the fire-breathing characters.
Emma Kilbey, director and adaptor of the show, said: “I grew up in Benfleet so I am especially excited that we’ll be playing at the beautiful Palace Theatre.
"Zog has to be one of my favourite Julia Donaldson stories, and it’s been such a joy adapting it for the stage, and seeing how our young audiences respond to meeting their favourite characters on stage.
"I’ve loved getting back in the rehearsal room for this new tour, and I can promise that audiences in Southend are in for a fiery, roar-some treat!”
Tickets cost £16 for kids and £18 for adults. for further details see http//:www.southendtheatres.org.uk.
