"SEVERAL" vehicles have crashed on a busy Pitsea road with long delays around the area.
The vehicles crashed in South Mayne, Pitsea just after 1.05pm this afternoon, with multiple emergency services attending the scene.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "We were called to South Mayne, Pitsea, shortly after 1.05pm on Thursday 9 February following reports of a crash involving several vehicles.
"We are currently on scene. There are road closures in place and we would ask drivers to avoid the area."
