VANDALS have damaged the ticket machines at Laindon railway station leaving passengers unable to pay by card.
Rail firm c2c this morning announced it was unable to take card payments at the station as a result of vandalism.

Customers looking to travel from Laindon have been warned they must use cash or an alternative station.
In a statement posted to Twitter, a spokesman for c2c said: “Due to vandalism, no card payments will be available at the main ticket office at Laindon. Please use cash or visit an alternative station.”

Last month, massive queues formed at the station after the ticket machines were relocated to another part of the station, causing confusion among passengers who were seen queuing outside the station during rush hour on January 10.
