THE Basildon and Billericay MP has said there will be 1,000 jobs to go at Ford Dunton as he expresses his disappointment.
John Baron MP said it is disappointing to hear of the redundancies at the site within his constituency.
This morning, Ford announced it will be scrapping 3,800 jobs across Europe, including 1,300 in the UK, over the next three years.

This is amid plans to reinvent the brand and focus on a smaller range of electric vehicles.
However, according to MP Baron, 1,000 of the 1,300 in the UK will be at Dunton in Basildon.
He did add that Ford is looking to make these cuts via voluntary separation.
Mr Baron said: “It is disappointing to hear that Ford Dunton will be reducing its workforce at Dunton over the next three years.
“Whilst I understand that Ford are looking to make these cuts via voluntary separation programmes, I know it will be a worrying time for my constituents who are employed at the Dunton site.
“I have been assured by Ford that the UK Leadership Team will be available in person throughout the day and thereafter to speak with employees and I would encourage those who are affected to reach out to them to discuss their options.”
