Drivers faced long delays on the M25 in south Essex and surrounding roads after a traffic signal failure.
UPDATE: The issue has now been resolved and traffic has cleared.
The traffic signals were not working properly this morning and early afternoon on the Brook Street roundabout causing slow traffic on the M25 anticlockwise from before junction 29 (A127) to junction 28.
There were also queues on the A12 Londonbound from junction 12 (Shenfield).
According to AA traffic updates, cameras showed traffic was barely moving and some callers reported around an hour to get through.
