A MAN has died at a south Essex golf club after a medical emergency.
The East of England Ambulance Service were called to Rayleigh Golf Club, in Hullbridge Road, at around 11:50am, yesterday.
Alongside road ambulances, the air ambulance was also sent to the scene.
However, despite the efforts of the medical teams, a man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service confirmed the medical emergency incident.
They said: “We were called at 11.50am to a medical emergency on Rayleigh Golf Club on Wednesday, February 15.
“Two ambulances, an ambulance officer, the Hazardous Area Response Team and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
“Sadly, despite best efforts of medical teams, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Rayleigh Golf Club has been contacted for comment by the Echo, but are yet to respond.
Many have since taken to social media to share their thoughts.
Marianne Hope wrote: "So sad. Feel for the family."
