A council-led investigation has been launched after a shopping centre worker suffered "serious injuries" following a fall from a height.
The man was taken to Royal London Hospital after the fall at Eastgate Shopping Centre in the early hours of January 18.
A shop worker from the centre said he was taking down Christmas decorations at the time of the incident.

A spokesman for Basildon Council said: "The investigation is being overseen by Basildon Council’s Environmental Health Team. We are unable to provide any further comment while the investigation is ongoing."

At the time, A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "Shortly after 1am we sent an ambulance, and ambulance officer vehicle and Essex and Herts Air Ambulance following a report of a man who had fallen from height.
"The patient, who had sustained serious injuries, was transported by road ambulance to the Royal London Hospital."
