POLICE are questioning four men following reports of a disturbance in Southend.
Four men are in custody after officers patrolling Southend responded to reports of a disturbance on Saturday evening.
At around 11.45pm, in Marine Parade, a 34-year-old man and three others were arrested on suspicion of affray.
A 32-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and possession of drugs, while a 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon, possession with intent to supply and possession of drugs.
A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
All four remain in police custody for questioning.
The arrests were made by officers on routine patrols in Southend city.
