A south Essex secondary school is urging parents to speak to their children today after reports of pupils planning a protest.
A number of pupils at Billericay School had planned a protest on the school field today, the school is led to believe, after similar action across south Essex on Friday.
A national wave of protests hit Wickford and Canvey schools after children organised protests on TikTok and social media.
Pupils across the country had gone on a "rampage" against schools preventing pupils from using the toilet facilities during class time.
A spokesman for the Billericay school tweeted: "We are led to believe that a number of students have been inciting similar action to be carried out on the school field today.
"Please discuss this matter with your child and ensure that they are clear as to the potential consequences that behaviour of this manner would carry.
"The school has a number of forums for students to raise concerns. The democratically elected student representatives are there to listen to concerns and to discuss these with the school leadership to bring about change.
