Multiple ambulances and police vehicles attended an incident in Rayleigh this morning after welfare concerns.
Police attended an incident in Eastwood Road shortly before 11am today (February 28) where there was concern for the welfare of a woman.
Officers responded and a woman was left in the care of medical professionals.
The ambulance service has confirmed the woman was taken to Southend Hospital for "further assessment and treatment".
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called by police colleagues at 11.10am to Eastwood Road in Rayleigh with reports of concern of the welfare of a woman.
"An ambulance, rapid response vehicle and the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
"The woman was assessed and transported to Southend University Hospital for further assessment and treatment."
