A PENSIONER has been charged in connection with an investigation into a report a girl was sexually assaulted on a bus in Basildon.
Kaushik Patel, of Rantree Fold, Basildon, has now been charged with assault by touching.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "It was reported a man approached the girl and kissed her on the cheek on a bus in Uppermayne on 18 November last year.
"A 72 year-old man was arrested on Saturday.
"He’s due to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court today, Monday, March 6."
