THE Queen Consort received an array of gifts during the royal visit this week, but one of the more unexpected presents came Colchester teenagers in the form a paper crown… from Burger King.
In a popular video which has featured on the social media site TikTok, Camilla is seen shaking hands and meeting crowds in Colchester High Street.
Whilst meeting some younger members of the public, however, the Queen Consort was then handed a Burger King hat which was described as ‘a last-minute gift’.
After taking the paper crown handed to her, Camilla responded: “Oh, lovely – that’s very nice… from Burger King.”
There was a brief pause, before she added: “Well, thank you very much.”

The video, which was uploaded by Tom Steel, has been viewed nearly 600,000 times by social media users and has received close to 1,000 comments.
One of the top-rated comments read: “Charles is now canonically the Burger King.”
Another read: “I saw her take it into the car – proudest moment of my life.”
“Standard Colchester”, wrote another on social media.
King Charles, meanwhile, was greeting crowds on the other side of the High Street.
The royal visit was organised after Colchester was made a city as part of the Queen’s platinum jubilee celebrations.
