A NEW craft beer venue is set to open in the basement of a historic Shoebury pub.
Shoebury Hotel, in the High Street, has announced the opening of The Crafty Beer Cellar later this month.
The venue will be located within the basement of the pub, offering bottomless brunches, live music, craft beers, and a venue hire space.

Hotel owners Michelle Marrs, Andrew Dossor, and Stephan Belot believe the new venue will be an excellent addition to the area’s leisure offering.
Michelle said: “We are independent and very passionate about keeping local pubs alive.
“We are constantly coming up with new ideas and events.
“It is so exciting to be opening this - we ourselves love craft beers, and we had the space downstairs at the Shoebury Hotel to open a venue like this.
“It is good to offer something a bit different and craft beers are becoming popular.
“So it was only natural to open up the space down there, to create a new venue.”
The Shoebury Hotel is a restaurant, bar and live event venue situated in the heart of Shoebury.
It first opened in 1899 when it was built to replace an old tavern.
A grand opening of the new venue will take place on Thursday, March 23, from 7pm.
It will include a selection of craft beers to try, including Neck Oil, Flint Eye, and Level Head.
DJ Danny Blanco will also be providing entertainment on the night.
Michelle added: “Everybody is welcome here, and friends are easily made.
“Craft beers is something we love, we have a great selection of beers to try, and we offer flight boards so you can sample several different beers at once.
“Our bespoke brunches is also something we are very excited about, it gives the customers the options to create their perfect brunch, with their drink and music choice.”
