An Essex doctor has been accused of failing to document a home visit to a patient where he massaged them, according to a watchdog.
Dr Peter John Roach also allegedly asked for the patient’s personal phone number before making the home visit to the same patient which was “unrequested”, a Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) report said.
The MPTS hearing regarding Dr Roach is currently taking place and will go on until March 17. He is accused of “sexually motivated conduct”.
According to pre-hearing document published on the MPTS website, Dr Roach is alleged to have asked for a patient’s personal phone number during a medical consultation at the Market Square Surgery, Epping Forest, on March 18.

He then allegedly conducted a home visit on the same day, despite this not being requested.
During the visit, it is alleged he massaged the patient. Dr Roach also allegedly failed to document the visit after returning to the surgery.
According to the pre-hearing document, it is alleged that Dr Roach’s conduct was sexually motivated. Dr Roach’s area of practice is Epping Forest, according to the MPTS website.

It read: “The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that during a medical consultation at the Market Square Surgery on 18 March 2020, Dr Roach inappropriately asked Patient A for her personal telephone number.
“It is also alleged that later that day, Dr Roach visited Patient A for a home visit despite the fact that a home visit had not been requested, during which he massaged Patient A.
“It is alleged that Dr Roach’s conduct was sexually motivated. It is further alleged that Dr Roach failed to document the home visit upon returning to the surgery.”
