Five pooches at Dogs Trust Basildon are looking for forever homes to call their own.
Arnie a five-year-old Greyhound is a sensitive soul, who loves going for a walk and is exceptionally good on the lead. The former racing dog has not experienced much of the world beyond the racing track, and he would adore a quiet home with his new owners.
Bailey, two, is a Border Collie cross with heaps of potential. He is looking for a home where he will be kept both mentally and physically stimulated. He would need to be the only pet in an adult only home and have walks in areas where there are few other dogs.
Brodie is a one-year-old Golden Retriever who is a very bouncy and strong youngster and is looking for a family who can match his energy levels. Brodie can find it hard to settle, and does really enjoy the company of humans, and is best when not left at home for long periods.
Baloo, around three, is a Mastiff stray whose background is unknown. He is a lovely, friendly boy, although he can sometimes forget his manners and jumps up to say hello. Baloo must have an adult only home and be the only pet.
Axel, one, is a German Shepherd, has improved his socialisation thanks to the Dogs Trust staff, but will need more help building his skills. New owners would need to be willing to visit the Dogs Trust centre multiple times before taking Axel home for good.
