A rail firm has given an update to its worried followers on the little dog found travelling alone on one of its trains more than a week ago.
The c2c issued an appeal on March 23 after finding a little dog on board one of its trains, coincidentally at the Barking stop.
The dog was taken to a vet nearby to check for a microchip and urged anyone who recognised him to get in touch.
They later discovered the pooch, named Lucky, had a microchip, but there was no owner registered.
Workers continued to appeal to get Lucky back to his owners, but to no avail, and have now issued an update on his whereabouts.
Lucky has been pampered at the groomers today, with more than a kilo of matted hair removed.
A c2c spokesman tweeted: "After a trip to the groomer who removed over a kilo of matted hair, Lucky has spent time being thoroughly pampered at the home of one of our station staff.
"Unfortunately an owner never came forward but he has been adopted, thanks to the RSPCA for helping with the paperwork."
