Drivers in and around south Essex will have 12 major road closures to watch out for this week.
And nine of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 11 closures are due to start this week:
- A13, from 10pm April 3 to 5am April 7, moderate delays: from M25 anticlockwise Dartford Tunnel to junction 29, carriageway and slip road closures for maintenance works, diversion via National Highways and local authority roads.
- A12, from 10pm April 3 to 6am April 15, moderate delays: from M25 clockwise, junction 28, slip road and lane closure for lighting works, diversion via National highways network.
- M25, from 10pm April 3 to 5am April 6, moderate delays: from A282 northbound to M25 Anticlockwise, junction 31, carriageway closure between the exit and entry slip road for surveying works, diversion via National Highways network.
- A13, from 10pm April 3 to 5am April 4, slight delays of under 10 minutes: from A13 eastbound, Wennington to MarDyke, Lane closure for CAT1 safety fence repair.
- A1089, from 10pm April 3 to 5am April 4, moderate delays: from A126 southbound to A1089 southbound, slip road closure for electrical works, diversion via National highways network.
- A282, from 10pm April 5 to 5.30am April 6, slight delays: from A282 southbound, (QEII Bridge), junction 31 to junction 1a, Lane closure for electrical works.
- A13, from 10pm April 11 to 5am April 12, moderate delays: from A13 westbound, junction MarDyke to junction Wennington, Lane closure, carriageway closure for CAT1 electrical repair, diversion via Local Authorities.
- A13, from 10pm April 11 to 5am April 12, moderate delays: from A13 eastbound, junction A1012, slip road closure for Electrical works, diversion via National highways network.
- A13, from 10pm April 12 to 5am April 13, moderate delays: from A13 southbound, junction A126 to junction Mardyke, Lane, entry and exit slip road closures for carriageway repairs, diversions via local authority network.
- M25, from 10pm April 13 to 5am April 14, slight delays: from M25 anti clockwise, junction 30 to junction 29, Lane closures for repair of message sign.
- A13, from 10pm April 15 to 5am April 16, moderate delays: from M25 anticlockwise, junction 31, clockwise entry slip road closure for maintenance, diversion via National Highways network.
And one closure is already in place:
- A12, from 9pm September 12 2022 to 6am May 31 2024, moderate delays: from the A12 both directions, junction 13 to junction 15 - carriageway closure, lane closure, diversion route and contra flow for carriageway - reconstruction/renewal on behalf of Virtus Ltd.
