BILLOWING smoke and flames have been seen in a fire in Shoebury, eyewitnesses say.
Pictures show the thick black smoke was seen pluming into the sky.
Eyewitnesses say it is a blaze on an industrial estate in Vanguard Way, Shoebury.

"Control Officers received over 50 calls to the fire as it is creating a lot of smoke and can be seen from the road.
"On arrival, firefighters reported that there was a fire in an industrial unit, which measures around 20mx20m.
"Crews quickly began tackling the fire and working to stop it spreading.
"This is an ongoing incident."
A spokesman for Essex Police added: "We are currently assisting Essex Fire Service, following a fire in Shoeburyness."

The smoke has also been spotted over Southchurch.
It is not yet clear how the blaze started or the specific location.
