POLICE have issued an update on their investigation into an incident in Basildon.
The A176 Upper Mayne was closed in both directions for around 12 hours on Monday, October 10, at around 11:40pm.
It was reported a car left the road and collided with a tree following an interaction with another car.
After crashing into a tree, the driver of the second vehicle reportedly drove at the car that had crashed. As a result, a man was taken to hospital.
Essex Police believed the incident started in the Westcliff area with all the vehicles involved having been driven from their initially.
Shortly after the incident, a woman was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent while two men were arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and criminal damage.
Back in November, one of the men, a 23-year-old was released under investigation.
A 47-year-old woman, and a 22-year-old man were then re-bailed until January 11.
On January 11, both the 47-year-old woman, and a 22-year-old man were re-bailed again until March 10. And on March 10, both were re-bailed again until April 10.
Essex Police has now provided an update to those released on bail.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Both re-bailed until June 6.”
