A COUPLE in Wickford are renovating an old horse trailer in a bid to convert it into a new mobile pizza business.
Alysia Johnson-Gray and Samuel Rainforth, both 23, are hoping to take to the roads soon with their new business which will be available to hire for parties, weddings and events.
The business will be called Pizza Pleasers, and will be available to hire at events as well as private functions such as parties and weddings. They will offer all the classic pizzas such as Margherita and pepperoni as well as a special “dessert” pizza.

Alysia said: “We are super-excited to start this project.
“We are always looking for our next challenge and this will be the biggest so far, and the most exciting.
“Over the last year we have both been wanting a little project since all of our decorating at home is complete.
“We loved doing all the DIY ourselves and thought it would be really fun to do something a little different.
“Anyone that knows me will know that I have a passion for food and cooking and anyone that knows Sam will know how much he loves eating food.
“A couple of months back we attended a wedding that had hired a food van - instantly we knew it was perfect for us and exactly what we wanted to do.”
Alysia and Samuel have been together since they were 14 and moved into their first home together in 2022 in Wickford.
Previously the pair lived at home with their parents in Benfleet. Both are still working their full-time jobs at the same time, Alysia as an accountant and Sam as a gas engineer.
The couple hope they will be up and running by June.
Alysia added: “We have our horse box being delivered this weekend and will be getting stuck in straight away.
“Our plan is to be up and running in time for June.”
