A busy Southend road has been shut in both directions after reports of a serious incident.
Images show Sutton Road closed in both directions near Vale Avenue, with a police cordon and police vehicles on the scene.
Various residents have taken to social media to post about the incident. Images show the police tape across the whole road.

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "We were called to a road traffic accident on Sutton Road in Southend.
"An ambulance was in attendance. One patient was conveyed to Southend University Hospital in a stable condition."
Essex Police has been contacted for comment.
