A HUGE traffic build-up six miles long has been caused by a multi-vehicle collision on the A12.
A recent social media post from National Highways East confirmed emergency services were on the scene after a multi-vehicle collision on the A12 between Junction 26 (Eight Ash Green interchange) and Junction 27 (Spring Lane Interchange).
Traffic was completely stopped at one stage as a result of the collision, with official updates from the AA’s live traffic map showing severe delays.

Traffic on the A12 was completely stopped at about 1.30pm according to National Highways East, with one lane of traffic subsequently reopening.
One Twitter account commented: “Well over 20 minute delays. I haven't moved for half hour at least and we're engine off now.”
Another wrote they had been queueing in traffic for more than 45 minutes.
Essex Police has been contacted for comment.
