KEEP your eyes peeled as an RAF helicopter is set to make a visit to Southend Airport.
The Chinook, a “highly versatile support helicopter”, is expected to visit Southend Airport today from RAF Odiham.
RAF Odiham is in Hampshire and provides critical, rapid support for UK military operations.

The helicopter, distinctive for its twin rotor-blades, is set to arrive at approximately 5:30pm today.
A spokesman for Southend Airport said: “Plenty of advance warning on this one.
“We are expecting a visit from a Chinook this afternoon from RAF Odiham at approximately 5:30pm local time.
“So, keep your eyes peeling and your cameras high to the sky.
Southend Airport note, this could be subject to change.
According to the Royal Air Force, the Chinook is an extremely capable and highly versatile support helicopter that can be operated from land bases or shops into a diverse range of environments, from the arctic to the desert or jungle.
Chinooks are primarily used for trooping, resupply, and battlefield casualty evacuation.
