A popular Essex pub re-opened to customers today after a major six-figure revamp.

The investment has seen The Bakers Arms, in Sewardstone Road, renovated inside and out to provide a fresh and vibrant setting in time for summer.

The Waltham Abbey pub's garden has been completely refurbished, with outdoor space expanding around the front of the pub.

It also features the addition of a heated, glass roof pergola, which will provide a full al fresco dining experience for guests all year round.  

Inside the pub, the layout has been transformed, with the main entrance and dog friendly bar area becoming more open plan and accessible.

A complete transformation in décor and furnishings has also taken place to enhance the "cosy and welcoming" atmosphere for guests.

The Bakers Arms is also re-opening with a new spring menu, with weekly Chef’s Specials and a new signature burger.

Breakfast will be on offer every Saturday and Sunday between 9.30am and 11.15am, as well as on the upcoming May Bank Holidays.

Situated opposite Lee Valley Park and close to Gunpowder Park, the pub is a popular choice for dog walkers and families alike.

The pub has also installed electric vehicle charging stations so customers can charge their car while visiting the pub.

Chris Willcocks, general manager of The Bakers Arms said today (April 24): “It’s been so exciting to see the renovations take shape and the pub transform, but we’ve missed our guests and we can’t wait to welcome people back through our doors to experience a new and improved offering across the board.
