TWO Basildon schools have re-opened after being forced to close yesterday due to being left with no water following a burst pipe incident.
Yesterday, more than 4,000 homes, including two schools, in SS13 and SS16 were left experiencing no water or low water pressure.
This was due to a burst on one of the larger water pipes alongside High Road, Pitsea, near the junction of Burns Avenue.

St Margaret’s Church of England Academy, in London Road, and Eversley Primary School, in Crest Avenue, had to close for the day as a result.
Essex and Suffolk Water worked hard to fix the issue and confirmed by yesterday afternoon all homes and schools had running water again.
Both schools today have since confirmed they have re-opened.
