Southend has a vast range of bars and pubs for a night out so sometimes it is difficult to choose where to go.
To help, we asked an AI chatbot for its recommendations for a great night out in the city.
Artificial Intelligence has become a highly debated topic online, and the government is set to invest £100 million for a task force to develop AI models which can be used in fields such as healthcare and education.
Using chatgpt.org, we were given five locations which artificial intelligence suggests to visit.
Do you agree with its choices?
Things started off by the chatbot saying Southend was "lively".
Chatgpt's first suggestion was the Genting Casino in Westcliff.
The chatbot said: "This casino is a great spot for a night out with friends, with gaming tables, a bar, and live entertainment."
The Cliff Pub, in Hamlet Court Road, was the second suggestion.
Unfortunately the Chatgpt may have got a bit confused about where the pub is...
The chatbot said: "This popular pub is located right on the beachfront and offers great views, live music, and a lively atmosphere."
It next suggested The Royals Shopping Centre.
And sadly, it seems geography is not the chatbot's strong point.
Its reasoning was: "The Royals is home to a variety of bars and restaurants, including the popular Slug and Lettuce, which serves up great food and cocktails."
Chinnerys also made the list.
The chatbot said: "This live music venue has hosted some big names over the years, and is a great spot to catch a gig or dance the night away."
And the final suggestion by Chatgpt was The Park Inn by Radisson Palace.
It said: "This hotel boasts a rooftop bar with stunning views of the Thames Estuary, making it a great spot for a drink or two."
Chatgpt concluded: "Overall, Southend has a great nightlife scene with something for everyone, from casinos and nightclubs to traditional pubs and live music venues."
