Basildon's Festival Leisure Park is set to welcome a new Costa Coffee drive thru, as part of a new development.
Aviva Life and Pensions UK Limited is behind the plans for two drive thru firms at the leisure park off Festival Way.
Plans show one of the businesses with Costa Coffee drive thru signage and branding. The site is located to the south of Pizza Hut at the Festival Leisure Park.
The plans say: "The application proposals represent an opportunity for an isolated and under-used area of Festival Leisure Park to be brought into positive use, enhancing the leisure offer and experience for a wider range of people, over a longer day, and with additional choice.
"The site layout and stand-alone designs build on that established by Pizza Hut. The 3 buildings will work together to create a new strength of offer in this section of the Park and an extension of its strong plan form and layout overall.
"Commercial units with drive-through facilities are inevitably ringed by roads/car movements so the design seeks to place the buildings in the clearest setting with highly visible entrances, and terraces to create obvious and safe pedestrian zones and approaches to the new buildings."
