RESIDENTS might be left without power for up to six hours this afternoon as electricity suppliers carry out work in the area.
Engineers from UK Power Networks are carrying out pre-planned power works affecting properties in Southend, as well as Rochford and Great Wakering.
The planned work will see SS2 4, SS3 0 and SS4 1 postcodes affected.
It is expected the electricity will return at 4.30pm today.
