A CASUALTY has been released from a car by firefighters following a crash on the A13 in Westcliff.
Emergency services were called to Chalkwell Avenue, Westcliff at around 8:20am this morning after a crash involving three vehicles.
As a result, long queues formed back towards Leigh.

One of the occupants had to be released by firefighters. An adult and two children were then assessed by the ambulance service.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 8.26am to a road traffic collision on London Road in Westcliff.
“An ambulance was sent to the scene and assessed an adult and two children, all of whom did not require transportation to hospital.”
A spokesman for Essex Fire added: “A road traffic collision involving three vehicles at the junction of London Road and Chalkwell Avenue.
“One casualty was released from their car by firefighters.
“Firefighters were finished at the scene at 9am. The scene was left in the care of the police.”
