A TEENAGER has been found with a “zombie” knife in his rucksack near to a Southend train station.
Essex Police Southend-based officers were on patrol on Wednesday in the city centre and by Southend Central when they stopped a youth following reports of someone smoking cannabis in a public area.
The police searched the boy in Luker Road where they found a small quantity of class B drugs.

After a search of the teenager’s rucksack, officers also located a “zombie” knife.
The teenager was then arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis and possession of an offensive weapon.
He has since been bailed as enquiries continue.
A spokesman for Essex Police Southend said: “Town centre team officers on patrol in Southend on Wednesday, May 17 arrested a teenage boy on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
“Officers stopped the youth in Luker Road after they received reports of someone smoking cannabis in a public area.
“They searched the boy and found a small quantity of class B drugs and a search of his rucksack located what was described as a “zombie” knife.
“The teenager was arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis and possession of an offensive weapon.
“He has been bailed to the end of June whilst enquiries are carried out.”
