An air ambulance has reportedly landed in Rochford this morning as crews responded to a crash in a major road.
Update: Essex Police are appealing for information as a man has died after the crash.
There are reports of queueing traffic in Sutton Road from Purdeys Way to Anne Boelyn pub.
This is due to an earlier crash involving one vehicle.
Residents have reported the road was shut with police tape and an air ambulance has landed.
AA reports all lanes have re-opened, however drivers say the road is still closed from Purdeys Way, and traffic remains in the road as well as Southend Road.
The air ambulance service and Essex Police have been contacted for comment
