Police descended on a Canvey chop shop yesterday which more than £640,000 worth of stolen cars have passed through in a matter of weeks.
Stolen vehicle intelligence unit officers alongside specialist police and police dogs surrounded the building which was identified as an active stolen vehicle chop shop.
Three suspects were caught by police trying to escape, however all were detained and arrested.
The scene was processed by the unit and crime scene investigation which resulted in evidence of more than £640,000 of stolen vehicles found to have passed through the chop shop in a number of weeks.

It is now under investigation by Essex Police's criminal investigation department.
A spokesman for the stolen vehicle intelligence unit tweeted: "A massive thanks to our recovery agents Boleyn Ltd for the mammoth recovery process completed.
"Remains of mainly German manufactured vehicles primarily - for those wondering if their stolen car met its fate here - owners will be notified in due course as the investigation continues."
