A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after overturning a car and crashing into a Canvey bungalow.
Firefighters were called to a single-vehicle crash near Taranto Road on Canvey last night just before 9pm.
The vehicle left the roadway and overturned, leaving one person needing rescuing.
Essex Police has since confirmed one man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

A spokesman said: "A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a collision which took place in Canvey High Street close to the junction with Woodville Road shortly before 9pm last night Thursday 25 May.
"The vehicle left the road and collided with a house.
"He was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries which are not believed to the life-changing or life-threatening.
"We need anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch.
"Please cite incident 1358 of May 25."
A spokesman for Canvey Island Fire Station added: “Canvey Crews responded to a road traffic collision last night, near Taranto Road.
“A vehicle left the roadway, leaving 1 person needing rescuing.
“With crews from Canvey, Rayleigh, Paramedics & police working together, the casualty was freed with minimal injuries.
“We urge everyone to please drive cautiously in your community.”
