Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after a crash in a major Westcliff road last night.
Officers were called at 10.10pm on Monday, May 29, to Prince Avenue following reports of a crash involving a Renault Clio and a motorcycle.
The rider, a man 20s, was taken to hospital where he remains. His injuries are described as life threatening.
The road was closed while police carried out investigative work and was reopened shortly after 5am on Tuesday (May 30).
