ENGINEERS are on site after a major power outage at two Southend tower blocks.

South Essex Homes has confirmed there is a power outage affecting Brecon and Blackdown in Newlands Road and North Road respectively.

Bosses have said engineers are on site and are working to remedy the issue.

A spokesman for South Essex Homes said: “There is a power outage affecting Brecon and Blackdown.

“Engineers from the National Grid are on site along with Electrical Engineers from South Essex Homes.

“The electricity network provider is also on site and is working to remedy the issue.

“We will continue to update you with any progress.

“Members of our Housing Services team, Emma Saville and Jennifer Cole, will be on site today to speak with residents.
