A major road in south Essex is expected to be closed until after this evening's rush hour as emergency services deal with a serious crash.
The A13 Londonbound is closed between the A1012 (Stifford Interchange) and the M25 following the crash.
This is involving three lorries and a van, according to Essex County Council traffic control. It says there has also been an oil and diesel spillage.
There are long delays on the A13 approaching the crash and routes around Lakeside and Thurrock, as traffic diverts.
The closure is set to remain until after the evening peak, the county's traffic control has warned.
Traffic is currently held on the #A13 westbound between the #A126 and the #M25 / #A282 due to a serious collision.

"We would urge drivers to avoid the area if possible and thank them for their patience and understanding.
