A MAN has been arrested following a Westcliff drugs bust which saw officers find 100 cannabis plants at a property.

Southend officers executed the raid at around 8.30am at an address in Southview Drive today, June 27.

The cannabis plants were found in three rooms and the loft which were converted into large growing areas.

Sergeant Paul Hogben, leading the community policing team, said: “My officers remain at the address to seize plants and equipment used in a large cannabis grow. Everything will be removed as evidence.

“Drugs have a long-lasting impact on communities, either through drug use, or through the anti-social behaviour surrounding drug supply.
