Firefighters appear to be tackling a fire at a home in Shoebury.
At least seven fire engines are on the scene in Bishopsteignton, photos show, with crews using an aerial ladder platform to tackle the blaze.
A number of East of England Ambulance Service vehicles are also in attendance.
A large cordon has been put in place in the street as fire crews deal with the incident.
Essex Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for comment.
