A BMW driver had his car taken off him after a car meet on Canvey last night.
Essex Police’s Roads Policing Unit was called to the a car meet.
They found a start line, with spectators and ‘thick’ black tyre marks around a car park.
A BMW was seized by officers using section 59 powers for driving in a careless and anti-social manner.
The driver had already been issued a warning last month in Kent.
In a post on Twitter they said: “We helped deal with a car meet on #CanveyIsland last night.
“The ‘Start’ line on the road with spectators gathering and thick black tyre marks around the car parks shows the claims from some to be peacefully socialising to be somewhat untrue.
“A white BMW was seized using sec 59 powers for driving in a careless and anti-social manner after already having a warning issued last month in Kent.

Police had warned drivers heading to a meet in Southend they would face fines or penalty notices.
