A man who was charged after a series of business burglaries in Southend has appeared at court.
Shane Barnbrooke, 38, of no fixed abode, was arrested on Tuesday (July 25) and remanded in custody, charged with a total of 17 burglary charges.
He appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court on Friday (July 28) to answer the following charges:
- Burglary with intent to steal – four counts
- Burglary – theft – 8 counts
- Attempted burglary with intent to steal – four counts
- Going equipped for burglary
All alleged offences occurred between June 2 and July 23.
Shane Barnbrooke has been remanded in custody and will stand trial at Basildon Crown Court on Monday August 21.
