A SOUTHEND theme park has been nominated in nine categories at a national award scheme.
UK Theme Park Awards have announced their nominations for the 2023 event.
Adventure Island in Southend has been nominated for:
- Best New Attraction (City Wheel)
- Best Theme Park for Families
- Best Theme Park for Thrills
- Best Seaside Park
- Best Thrill Ride (Axis)
- Best Adventure Golf (Adventure Golf at Adventure Island U.K.)
- Best Customer Service
- Best Value Theme Park
- and Best Social Media Content
Last year, the theme park was nominated for eight categories. Adventure Island ended up picking up three awards from the nominations.
Voting for the categories is already open.
A spokesman for Adventure Island said: "We are delighted to say that we have been nominated for nine award categories for this years UK Theme Park Awards.
"Thank you to everyone that put us forward."
