A VIDEO has shown the moment horses are seen running loose at Sadlers Farm in Benfleet after a car had left the road and crashed into a nearby fence.
The horses had escaped a nearby field after a car crashed, allowing a number of horses to access the carriageway.
Essex Police was quickly on the scene to hold up the traffic and return the horses back safely.

The driver suffered injuries and has been taken to hospital for further checks.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We were called shortly before 5.30am to the area of the A13 at the Saddlers Farm Roundabout, Basildon, to reports of a single-vehicle collision.
“It was reported a car had left the road and damaged nearby fencing bordering a field, allowing a number of horses to access the carriageway.
“Thankfully, thanks to the work of officers quickly on the scene, the horses were safely back on the field by 6.50am.
“The driver of the car has suffered injuries which are not life-threatening or life-changing. He was taken on to hospital for further checks.”
