MORE south Essex restaurants and establishments received new hygiene ratings, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
The scheme gives businesses a rating from five to zero, with five being hygiene standards are very good, and zero being urgent improvement is required.

Here's the list of the five establishments in south Essex that have been handed a new hygiene rating:
Southend
The Tasty, a takeaway at 272 Sutton Road, Southend, was given the score after assessment on July 3.
West Road Fish Bar, a takeaway at 104a West Road, Shoebury, was given the score after assessment on July 4.
Basildon
Kervan Kitchen, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Unit 12 Festival Leisure Park, Festival Way, Basildon, was given the score after assessment on July 1.
One3Four, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 134 High Street, Billericay, was given the score after assessment on July 4.

Castle Point
Latino's, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 205 London Road, Hadleigh, Benfleet, was given the score after assessment on June 30, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
