ESSEX Fire has issued an update on their investigation after 700 cars were left damaged by a major blaze in Rochford.
On Friday, Essex Fire were called to the industrial estate in Purdeys Way, Rochford at around 9pm.
This was following reports of hundreds of cars alight at a scrap yard on the industrial estate.

The cars at the scrap yard were stacked in rows of three storeys and Essex fire estimated there to be around 2,000 cars on site.
More than 60 firefighters attended to tackle the blaze.
Essex Fire has since confirmed more than 700 cars were left damaged as a result of the fire.
Bosses also confirmed a thorough investigation has since been carried out.
But "unfortunately the cause of the fire is unknown".
